Hidden vs Transparent Taxes: What I’m Going to Show You

In this series I will share what I believe to be the important differences between hidden taxes and transparent taxes.  (See Part 2, Consumers and Hidden Taxes.) I will also share why I believe hidden taxes are hurting those members of our Society who are too often running out of money before they run out of month.  (See Part 2, Consumers and Hidden Taxes; also see Part 5, Renters, Home Owners, and Hidden Taxes.)
I am also going to show how employees, those who work for someone else, are paying taxes twice, the first time when taxes are taken out of their paycheck.  (For the second set of taxes employees pay, see Part 3, Employees and Hidden Taxes.)

People who are not aware of what I’m calling hidden taxes also are not in a position to understand how businesses are allowed to hide the taxes they pay to government inside the prices that the rest of us pay for the stuff we buy.  (See Part 4, Businesses and Hidden Taxes.)

In this series I’m also going to show how hidden taxes is causing business raise to their prices by more than the amount of the actual taxes paid to government.  (See Part 4, Businesses and Hidden Taxes.)

In this series I’m going to show how and why I believe our current system of hidden taxes provides a way for two people, both working for the same company, earning good union wages, at the same pay scale, working the same hours each week, and who have the same number of dependents can end up paying two very different effective tax rates.  Why?  Keep reading.  (see Part 5, Renters, Home Owners, and Hidden Taxes.)

In this series, I am also going to show how government itself is also paying the very same hidden taxes that the rest of us are paying.  I will also be showing why I believe this is causing the cost of government to be higher than is needed.  (See Part 6, Government and Hidden Taxes.)

Thank you for taking time to read and ponder my opinion on this topic.

Therefore, we must either CHANGE the way we live, or we bind our future to our past as if with CHAINS.
