Transit Part 3: Example Showing How a Passenger Can Change Their Destination After Loading Onto a Bus

Passenger Jane Doe gets on a local bus in Hub area 1A with the intention of going to an address in Hub area 1D.
While talking to passenger John Doe, who is also on the bus, she learns that John is going to a senior center she hasn’t heard of to play some pinochle with a group of his friends.  Jane hasn’t played for a few years, but wants to accept John’s offer to come with him.  At the Hub she informs her driver of her desire to change her destination.  Dispatch is notified and Jane is allowed to change her destination by switching to a Space-Available status.  It so happens that there is space available on the Bus taking John to his game and Jane is allowed to go at the same time.  Another passenger on the same bus with John and Jane asks if she can go to Target instead of Fred Meyer.  The driver checks with Dispatch and she is told that she will have to wait for about a half hour at the hub before a Bus will come that has Space-Available and which is going to Target.  She agrees to wait and is rerouted to Target on Space-Available status through a different bus.

Thank you for taking time to read my program.  Obviously, if I didn't believe in my own program, I would not have published it for others to read and ponder on.

It has been said that: "One definition of insanity is to do the same thing, the same way, over and over and over again, each time expecting to achieve a different result."
Therefore, we must either CHANGE the way we live, or we bind our future to our past as if with CHAINS.
"I do not consider myself to be better than anyone else.  But I do believe in exercising my right to not stay stupid."
