Transit Part 6: Eight Station Hub

For an eight-station hub to maintain the recommended 3 to 1 ratio, there will need to be two stations for Transfer buses and six stations for the three other types of bus routes.
An eight-station hub would also need to be designed with a larger “center” area for things like rest rooms, employee break rooms, passenger holding or waiting areas, and so forth.  A hub designed with eight sides would make it easier for each bus to pull up parallel to the loading edge of its assigned docking station.

The other option would be to have two 4-station hubs side by side with provisions designed into this larger facility for passengers to get from one side to the other.  Because of the challenges associated with getting passengers safely and efficiently from one of the 4-station sides to another, without delaying service, I strongly suggest using an 8-sided hub design.

Thank you for taking time to read my program.  Obviously, if I didn't believe in my own program, I would not have published it for others to read and ponder on.
