Consumers and Hidden Taxes: Those Who Spend the Most Would Pay the Most in Transparent Taxes

Transparent taxes would ideally be designed to be charged and collected at the time any consumer makes a taxable purchase.
There would be no tax returns to file.  There would be no exemptions to calculate.  There would be no deductions to keep track of.

When a taxable consumer purchase is made, a transparent tax would be added onto the total and collected at the time of sale.  And, those who spend the most on taxable consumer purchases would pay the most in transparent taxes.

Would you like me to make this point more complicated? Well, it doesn’t need to be, and what I’ve said should be enough.  Those who spend the most on taxable consumer purchases would pay the most in transparent taxes.

Thank you for taking time to read and ponder my opinion on this topic.
