Employees and Hidden Taxes: Transparent Taxes Could Give Employees an Effective Pay Raise

A transparent tax system, designed by properly elected officials, could have the effect of giving employees an effective pay raise because of important changes that would be made.

My statement and belief here is based on the idea that the laws written and passed by properly elected officials would seek to accomplish the points I am promoting.

A Transparent Tax system would take no taxes out of Employee earnings.

Under a transparent tax system such as I am referring to here, all forms of hidden taxes would come to an end and be replaced by transparent taxes added at the time of sale to the final end-user-consumer (or simply, to the consumer).

This means that there would be no taxes of any kind deducted from employee wages.  There would also be no hidden taxes built into the cost of anything employees buy as consumers.

Any and all taxes employees or any other consumer would pay would be in the form of a transparent tax added onto the receipt of whatever taxable purchase they made as consumers.

And such a tax would show on the receipt as a specific line item.  It would not be hidden in any way, shape or form.

Ending Hidden Taxes could result in an increase in employee take-home pay.

With no taxes of any kind taken out of employee wages and earnings, employee take home pay would increase by the amount of the taxes currently being deducted.

Another benefit would be that the employer would no longer have to pay any form of matching hidden payroll taxes, because there would be no payroll taxes coming out of employee earnings to be matched.

Thank you for taking time to read and ponder my opinion on this topic.
