Transit Part 9: Government Support

Winning broad government support will require a multi-pronged approach.
First, in the face of a growing resentment for ever increasing taxes, we will need to help government officials see how my program will actually help reduce the future demand on tax dollars associated with funding the required transit programs within their respective constituent areas or districts.  Also, we will need to help them to see how supporting my program will put them in a position of helping to advance the cause of the disabled in terms of helping them to realize a greater degree of freedom and independence.

The idea here is that for some, simply doing the right thing is more important than the cost of doing the right thing.  For others, keeping cost of government down out of respect for those who actually earn their own living is of the up-most importance, even when it means delaying a well-intentioned purpose.

Showing how my program will help to keep costs down, and help to accomplish a good purpose all at the same time will give us our best chance for broad by-partisan support.

Thank you for taking time to read my program.  Obviously, if I didn't believe in my own program, I would not have published it for others to read and ponder on.

Therefore, we must either CHANGE the way we live, or we bind our future to our past as if with CHAINS.
