Changing from Hidden to Transparent Taxes: Start With Hidden Taxes That Are Easiest For Consumers To See

We humans, for the most part, are creatures of habit.  We like our habits.  We don’t like to be forced to change our habits.  If we do agree to change our habits, we need to see a good reason for doing so.

I have kept these very human habits and attitudes in mind as I wrote the topic sections that follow.  Also, as I stated in my introduction to this eight part series, that everything you read herein is my opinion.  That is also true about what you will be reading next.

Ending Property Taxes would create visible changes.

Ending property taxes for home owners would give current home owners more money to spend.  It would also create the potential for more people to qualify for the financing needed to buy a home.

Ending property taxes for landlords would help to lower the rents paid by their tenants.  This savings in rent would be potential new consumer spending.

Ending property taxes on business property would help to reduce one of the hidden taxes business has to pass on to their customers.

Thank you for taking time to read and ponder my opinion on this topic.

Therefore, we must either CHANGE the way we live, or we bind our future to our past as if with CHAINS.
