Transit Part 7: Special Event Bus

Special Event bus routes are planned for special events.  For many events, special instructions are involved with respect to getting into and out of the special event.
Use of Special Event buses for getting into and out of Special Events will limit the number of buses that have the potential to be caught up in the heavier traffic that can be associated with the more popular of these events.

Also, because of the need for special identification, travel to and from military installations where special identification and clearance is required for access could be treated as an on going special event.  Meaning that a bus would travel exclusively between its assigned hub and the nearby military base.

Doing this would allow the transit company to put a driver whom they know is cleared for access to the military installation on that route.  This would eliminate any concern over whether or not a new driver picking up a passenger has been processed and cleared for access to military installations.

There is also the potential to treat the service area covered within the military base as a combination of a Special Event Route and an Extended Local Route.  Busy shopping malls also have the potential to be treated as a combined Special Event and Extended Local bus route so as to minimize the number of buses being caught up in potentially heavy mall type traffic.

Thank you for taking time to read my program.  Obviously, if I didn't believe in my own program, I would not have published it for others to read and ponder on.
