Transit Part 9: Summary of Employee Benefits

Upon successful implementation of my program:

Para-transit employees will have the potential to work a more regular work schedule because buses will be able to average more people per hour.
This means that increases in planned or expected passenger traffic will not result in as many new routes or as many extra work hours.  There will also be fewer times when last minute cancelations of rides cause unexpected loss of planed work hours.

Para-transit employees will be able to have lunches and other breaks at fairly regular intervals because breaks can be started at any hub.  There will no longer be conflict between the need to keep passengers moving and the right of drivers to have lunches and breaks the way most other American workers expect to have.

Employees will have the potential to petition their employers for increased wages and benefits.  The basis for this is because of the increased number of passengers each bus will average taking each hour.  More people per hour and more people per mile mean lower average cost per passenger.

Employees, such as drivers and dispatchers will experience less stress in connection with transporting each passenger because there won’t be as many reasons to tell a passenger NO.  They’ll be able to start saying yes to them.

Thank you for taking time to read my program.  Obviously, if I didn't believe in my own program, I would not have published it for others to read and ponder on.

Therefore, we must either CHANGE the way we live, or we bind our future to our past as if with CHAINS.
